Hi, I’m John!


For over 20 years I’ve been on a mission to make learning English more fun. I mean, why shouldn’t it be fun? English isn’t just about learning grammar from dusty old books. It’s a living language for communicating, chatting, singing, joking and travelling. 

During my time as a teacher, I have met thousands  of learners of all ages, levels and nationalities. Each learner is different but one thing is always true: it’s the ones who practise every day, who chat in English, listen to English music, watch English films, play video games in English, read English books and articles, and make English their passion, who make the most progress.

However, the quality of English material out there often varies, and it’s not always easy to find meaningful ways to use your English outside of lesson time. John’s English Club was created to provide learners with a fun, stimulating English environment populated by an exclusive community of like-minded individuals.

I'm an indefatigable producer of social media content for John's English Page, with over 200 000 followers on Instagram, TikTok and Youtube. With this website it's my mission to give you a deeper learning experience, to bring back the fun in English and to be part of your motivation for improving a little every day!
