"Goodness of artichoke" omelette (Italian cuisine)

Serving: 2 persons
 - 4 eggs
 - 1 artichoke
 - 2 tablespoons of oil
 - 1 clove of garlic
 - salt
 - 1 glass of water

 1. Cut the stem of the artichoke, peel the fibrous outer part and then slice it into thin slices.
 2. Remove the hardest leaves from the head of the artichoke, remove all the sharp points from the other leaves and the beard that is in the centre. Finely slice each wedge.
 3. Put the water in the pan, add the sliced artichoke, add the salt and boil it for 8 minutes covered with a lid (everything must become soft).
 4. Break the eggs into a plate, beat them well and add a tablespoon of oil together with the boiled artichoke.
 5. Put a tablespoon of oil in the pan with a clove of garlic and brown it until you smell its aroma. 
Remove the garlic and pour in the eggs and artichoke in one go. 
Cover everything with the lid and cook for five minutes. 
 6. If the result is something good you are less of a dummy than yesterday: be proud of yourself!
